Made while serving his life sentence, this artwork is an artistic interpretation of the artist’s former prison cell where he lived for 31 years at the now closed Graterford Prison. The creation of this artwork got Suave in deep trouble with the Department of Corrections because the mixed media items used in the work were all deemed contraband. As a result, Suave was sentenced to 90 days of solitary confinement. The artist never regretted creating this artwork titled, BIG HOUSE NOODLE SOUP. For those who do not know, BIG HOUSE PRODUCTS is the corporation run by the Department of Corrections to sell products created by prisoners to the free world.
