Stephen Wilson expertly crafts extraordinary and timeless designs using sustainable materials. Each art piece embarks on a journey, starting with an up-cycled luxury bag, box, silk scarf, or album. Wilson meticulously creates a bespoke embroidery design, delicately intertwining every stitch by hand.

The album series begins with a vintage album sleeve, which serves as the foundation for intricate designs created with a variety of techniques such as yarn embroidery and photorealistic embroidery. Each album is carefully embroidered with over 200,000 stitches, taking more than 8 hours to complete. Upon completion, the album is adorned with embroidered patches and other decorative objects, making each one truly unique.

"Dynasty was released in 1979 following their hugely successful Love Gun album. The album contained the disco hit “I Was Made for Loving You”, possibly the only disco song by Kiss. This is my second Kiss album in this series following Destroyer. This album features close up photographs of all 4 band members collaged together. This is a very different cover style compared to earlier records and very challenging to reproduce in thread. I decided to stitch the whole album cover in thick wool thread. The faces were done using multiple layers of tight intertwined stitches in multiple colors. The layers of hair which comprise most of the photograph were created using very long stitches in multiple layers and colors. A big aspect in the art of digitizing is controlling how different layers of thread in different stitch lengths interact with each other. The finished piece has over 100,000 hand placed stitches. The logo and album title were created as patches and collaged onto the album as a final step." – Stephen Wilson
