Self-taught Belgian artist Laurence Cartiaux's work lies at the crossroads of contemporary abstraction and experimental resin techniques. Born in Africa and raised in Belgium, Cartiaux turned to creative expression from a young age, gradually evolving her practice into a sophisticated exploration of texture, transparency, and color. The artist's signature technique is based on the layering of Epoxy resin, meticulously building depth and movement in each piece. The fluidity and transparency of Epoxy resin allow to capture fleeting moments of tension and serenity. With each new layer, Cartaiux creates a dialogue between the visible and the invisible, the real and the imagined. Cartaiux has been showcasing her work for the last 10 years and resides with her family in a peaceful environment that deeply nourishes her inspiration.
