Didem Yağcı
"My works hold a moment of awareness where form, balance, and inner transformation meet" – Didem Yağcı, artist

Didem Yağcı is an international contemporary artist known for her original abstract sculptures that explore human existence, inner transformation, and the evolving nature of perception. Working at the intersection of philosophy, science, and design, Yagci creates layered geometric artworks that reflect the emotional and spiritual cycles that shape a life. Her compositions suggest movement through repetition, change, and renewed awareness, with overlapping and intersecting forms serving as visual metaphors for growth and evolution.
Using wood, plaster, and a distinctive construction process, Yağcı builds dimensional abstract works that combine optical illusion, structure, and refined color relationships. Her contemporary sculptures balance precision and intuition, resulting in artworks that feel both analytical and meditative. The geometric language of her work speaks to an inner journey marked by discovery, transformation, and expanded consciousness.
Didem studied Chemistry at Bosphorus University before receiving a European Union Scholarship in 2010 to study Contemporary Art and Design at the London College of Fashion. Her background in science continues to inform her artistic practice and original 3D forms. She has exhibited internationally in Miami, Chicago, Connecticut, Houston, Dallas, New York, Dubai, London, Paris, and Dublin, and has held multiple solo exhibitions in Istanbul, Türkiye. Her work is held in international private collections, and she continues to develop new art and projects for domestic and international audiences.
