Adam Handler's DAYDREAM PRE-RELEASE I
Morton Contemporary Art Gallery is thrilled to announce the upcoming exhibition of New York-born painter, Adam Handler. Childlike simplicity, quirky, colorful, primitive––these are just a few words to describe Handler’s extraordinary talent. His recognizable characters such as bats, ghosts, and wide-eyed girls embody innocence and adolescent energy that the very best of artists will tell you is close to impossible to render with fresh authenticity. Pablo Picasso said it best: “It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.” On exhibition at Morton Contemporary’s The Loft (located above Vintage Wine Bar at 129 S. 13th Street, 2nd Floor) will be 40 works on paper and large-scale canvases featuring Adam Handler’s dream-like work.
The artwork will be on view from Saturday, October 16th to Sunday, November 14th, 2021 by appointment only.
